     Rev. Thomas Shepard was born on 5 April 1635 at England. He married Anna/Hannah Tyng, daughter of William Tyng and Elizabeth Coytmore, on 3 November 1656 at Charlestown, Middlesex, Mass.6 Rev. Thomas Shepard died on 22 December 1677 at Cambridge, Middlesex, Mass, at age 42.7

     In 3 October 1635 Rev. Thomas Shepard and his parents emigrated from England to Cambridge, Middlesex, Mass in the Defence.8 He graduated from Harvard with Rev. Joshua Moody, Rev. John Whiting, and Samuel Hooker, all class of 1653.9 Rev. Thomas Shepard delivered the election sermon for the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company of Massachusetts in 1663.10
