Nathaniel Collins was born at Middletown, Middlesex, Conn, on 13 June 1677.3 He was baptized on 17 June 1677 at Middletown, Middlesex, Conn.4 He married, first, in Enfield, Hartford, Conn, on 7 January 1700/1 Alice Adams, daughter of Rev. William Adams and Alice Bradford.5,6 He married, second, in Enfield, Hartford, Conn, before 22 June 1737 Rachel Smith.7,6 He died at Glastonbury, Hartford, Conn, on 31 December 1756.8,6 He was buried at Enfield Street Cemetery Enfield, Hartford, Conn, on 2 January 1757.9,10

     Rev. Nathaniel Collins was named in the probate inventory of his father's estate in Middletown, Middlesex, Conn on December 1684.11,12 Nathaniel graduated from Harvard, class of 1697.13 Rev. Nathaniel Collins and Rev. Samuel Whiting were first cousins. Their wives were sisters.
