     John Collins was born at Middletown, Middlesex, Conn, on 31 January 1667/68.2 He was baptized on 15 November 1668 at Middletown, Middlesex, Conn.3 He married in Middletown, Middlesex, Conn, on 24 December 1707 Mary Dixwell, daughter of John Dixwell and Bathshua Howe.4,5 He died at Norwich, New London, Conn, on 23 April 1754; Per CT death and burial index, 1650-1934. He was buried at Johnson Cemetery Bozrah, New London, Conn, on 25 April 1754.6

     John Collins was named in the probate inventory of his father's estate in Middletown, Middlesex, Conn on December 1684.7,8 He witnessed the will of Bathshua Howe on 8 June 1727 at Middletown, Middlesex, Conn.9 John Collins and Abigail Walker were second cousins, and their spouses were siblings.
